Cystic Fibrosis Event - friday 13th July 2012

I had a last minute invite to a small event a friend of mine was running, to raise funds for cystic fibrosis. Terri needed a beauty therapist 'super fast' so with a little jiggle of my diary I managed to re arrange my day.

There were cakes galore, good job I was in the lounge is all I can say! My sister Annabelle accompanied me and helped me co ordinate the ladies coming through for their taster treatments. Its always nice to have some support and a little help at these kind of events, as when your busy doing treatments, people always want to talk to you, to ask questions or advice about products etc

I met and carried out treatments on 5 lucky ladies. They had a shoulder, face and scalp massage. This is such an amazing treatment and really relaxing. I used Neals Yard products as the wild rose beauty balm smells divine! and its properties are very holistic, calming and balancing.

My little display, showing off some of the Prestige Neals Yard Products.

The raffle prizes! whoop!

Me getting ready for the first client.

oh again!

Treatment is in progress....

snoreing away zzzzzzzZZZZ (client not me lol)

Here are some photos of my morning, hope you like this all. The charity coffee morning raised over £220 !! great stuff xx

Make Overs Today  Whoop ))))))

Today I will be carrying out 2 make-overs..... the first one will be 'wedding' style and the second will be 'party'.

Its the time of year when brides look for make-up artists and its true..... you do need to consider yourself as an artist. The brush is in your hands, the colour pallet is laid out before you and the canvas is the brides face. Think natural, however due to having to last the whole day through and the evening too, depth of colour and layering is very important. Always go thicker and slightly darker than you think! Cameras and Photographs need depth and colour, else the bride could look, under-made and pale.

Party time, proms, summer clubbing holidays ect all require slightly different techniques, more adventurous and daring shades and designs. Think out of the box, be bright, blend colours but also contrast colours. Think lashes, lip tattoos and face art.

Check out my photos later on here, Il post the looks to give you some inspiration *)))
